Author Aihber Khan: 2012 Year in Review (Part 1) Kijana Book Drive Kick-off Event and Meet & Greet with Author Aihber Khan

Kijana partnered with the 10-year-old, 7th grader, Author & Philanthropist Aihber Khan so young students in the developing world can help develop their own unique writing voices. Kijana and Aihber Khan, together hope to spread education and knowledge in Kenya.

This Labor Day weekend, when everyone was resting and doing no labor at all, our Aihber Khan, decided to organized a special event no one ever thought of. She called it “Labor to Benefit Education”.

After giving her cause a title, she made flyers, then she bought Workbooks, Storybooks, stickers to sell. And she planned to give out fresh, cold Lemonade for free to attract people to come visit her
stall. Everything was offered for $2.

Aihber Khan dedicated her time and labor on Labor Day to benefit education. She donated all the proceeds to education at her Middle school: Gardens School of Technology. The school is very happy to have a young author and thoughtful philanthropist at their school. Her school is very proud of her thoughtful act and glad to have this young Author and philanthropist as their student.

This is the first time I am watching and enjoying Olympics, because last time I was much younger. Last Night, loved the Olympics Opening Ceremony. Oh Boy! The Queen and 007? What an entry! Mr. Danny Boyle is talented, indeed! And what about Mr. Bean: humorous and amazing as always! We get to see Mr. Muhammad Ali and Sir Paul McCartney (My Mom and I were singing ‘na, na, na, with him).

The torch from David Beckham to gold medalist rower Mr. Steve Redgrave and he gave to Young future athletes … totally marvelous. I think, overall, it was a memorable night of Olympics as always. Job well done, Great Britain!

I watching it with my family while writing my Book 2 of Alana and the …

My Favorite games are Table Tennis, Archery, Swimming and favorite players are the great Usain Bolt, the Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. (By the way, Lochte won Gold in 400IM. He said this will be his year)

Go Team USA. Best Wishes and Felicitation from Aihber Khan!

(So Funny! When did I make That?)

In this post, I want to tell how lucky and grateful I am for being a part of great cause:

I’m invited to sign my Book and of course 10% of Book Sales goes to this “Come Rock With Us” event, which will benefit the YWCA of Palm Beach County and support the shelter for battered women and their abused children, called Harmony House.

And (Drumroll, please) I am one of the Speakers at this Charity Event at Leapin Lizards, West Palm Beach, on Friday July 13, 2012.

I’m so happy to support the cause.

 FLOWERS or LIFE?

Life want to be saved,

Flowers want to feel safe.

Nourish them,

Cherish them.

Show them sunlight,

Show them love.

Fragrance will spread,

Hopes will rise.

Flowers without shine are symbol of broken hopes

Flowers that are dying are symbol that you have failed.

Let them grow,

Help them grow.

And life will grow to share their joy.
